Senmedeltida textskatt i uppländska kyrkor : Samtliga bevarade språkband med kommentarer och analyser

(Late Medieval Text Treasure in the Churches of Uppland. All Preserved Scrolls with Comments and Analyses.) This is the main publication of the research project Late Medieval Text Treasure in the Churches of Uppland, devoted to the works of artists who, like Albertus Pictor during the Late Middle Ages, with pictures and words decorated the churches of Uppland, a politically and ecclesiastically central region at that time. In their work, these artists brought vibrant life to scenes from the Old and New Testament, from the typological compendium Biblia pauperum, and from various legends and tales.

In this volume the preserved scrolls that often accompany the pictures, are for the first time critically edited, translated and commented upon in their entirety. In a comprehensive introduction, the main results of the analysis, concerning the scrolls and some unique motifs, are summarized. An index of the scrolls further facilitates the use of the work.
