I denna volym katalogiseras 1 400 antika grekiska mynt ur samlingarna i Kungl. Myntkabinettet i Stockholm. Dessa mynt är från Mindre Asien och östra medelhavsområdet. Delar av myntkabinettets samling av antika grekiska mynt har tidigare publicerats i volymerna II:1–3 och II:6. Cirka 1 400 i samlingen återstår att publicera.

Serien Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum (SNG) ingår som ett projekt under International Numismatic Council (INC) och Union Académique Internationale. Den svenska delen av projektet har sedan 1974 utgivits av Vitterhetsakademien.

Harald Nilsson är tidigare förste antikvarie vid Kungl. Myntkabinettet. 1997–2009 ansvarade han på uppdrag av INC för
utgivningen av det internationella projektet SNG.



English summary:

This volume catalogues 1,400 ancient Greek coins from the collections of the Royal Coin Cabinet in Stockholm. These coins are from Asia Minor and the Eastern Mediterranean. Parts of the Royal Coin Cabinet’s collection of ancient Greek coins have previously been published in volumes II:1–3 and II:6. Approximately 1,400 coins of the collection remain to be published.

The Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum series (SNG) is supported by the Union Académique Internationale. Information on SNG activities world-wide is co-ordinated by the International Numismatic Commission (INC).

Harald Nilsson is former deputy keeper at the Royal Coin Cabinet. From 1997 to 2009 he was director of the series on behalf of INC.
